What is Special Needs Planning?

Many of our clients have family members who have special needs. We assist them with health care, public benefits and estate planning, taking into account their particular legal, financial, medical, social and family issues. Public benefits typically do not provide for all of a person’s needs. Special needs planning often uses supplemental needs trusts or special needs trusts to provide for a family member with special needs to enhance his or her quality of life without affecting the individual’s eligibility for public benefits. We work with Disability Advocates and Special Education Advocates to better address the individual’s unique needs.
