Denise N. Yurkofsky, J.D., CELA
Denise N. Yurkofsky is a graduate of New York University School of Law, where she was awarded the Judge Edelstein Fellowship. She received her undergraduate degree from Smith College and studied in France for one year as recipient of a Rotary International Undergraduate Fellowship. She has done graduate work in estate planning and estate and gift tax at Boston University Law School. She is admitted to the Massachusetts Bar.
Ms. Yurkofsky has been certified as a Certified Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation. Her practice is concentrated primarily in the area of estate planning, including planning for family members with special needs, elder law and probate. She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association and participates in the Estate Planning section. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
Before starting her private practice in Wayland, Ms. Yurkofsky was Of Counsel to the law firm of Eckel & Morgan, with offices in Acton and Chelmsford. Previously, she was employed as Counsel at General Cinema Corporation and as an associate attorney at Brown, Rudnick, Freed & Gesmer (now, Brown Rudnick Berlack Israels, LLP), a major law firm in Boston.
She is active in the community and serves on the Board of Directors of the Wayland Council on Aging.
